FAQ

What about players who want to join but have no clubs?

Option #1: These players can approach captains of existing teams if they could join them for the league.

Option #2: Contact the Summer League 2009 Committee if Option #1 fails to materialise. They would be then be notified of other players in similar situations, who wish to join. They would then have to try and form their own team with these groups of players.

In the interests of time, the Summer League 2009 Committee would not be drafting players who sign up alone as we do not have the resources to focus on every single person’s needs. Players are encouraged to form their own teams because this is a club/team series league.

Must I be from a current club to play?

No. Anyone can join as long as they have a team to join with. The players in these teams can be from different clubs.

For example, players from the National Youth Training Programme (NYTP) can decide to form a formidable team in attempt to top the league.

Do I need to pay UPA fees?

Yes, you must if you have not paid your dues as a registered member of UPA(S). As per all other leagues, the UPA fees are separate from league fees.

Can I join more than one team?

This is not encouraged as match timings may clash even if the teams are in different tiers.

If you have a special case, please bring it up to the Summer League 2009 Committee. We will look into it but do not be too optimistic.

Are the leagues intertwined?

No. Given a time constraint of 2 months, it would be hard to let Magna teams play against Summa teams.
